Canonical旗下除了Ubuntu外，还有众多衍生版本，其中一种是专门针对上网本和移动互联网设备的版本Ubuntu Mobile。目前它使用的是GNOME Mobile，自Qt 4.5宣布将采用LGPL许可证之后，Canonical的David Mandala表示，他们正在考虑Qt，寻找比GNOME Mobile更好的框架。
