Ubuntu/Canonical 的创始人 Mark Shuttleworth 在去年9月公布了 Ubuntu 9.04 的代号——“Jaunty Jackalope”。“Jaunty Jackalope”，大概意思为活泼的怀俄明野兔，Ubuntu 9.04 目前也正在处于开阶段。按 Ubuntu 的惯例，每一个发行版都会有张与代号相呼应的图片作为其默认的壁纸。 Ubuntu 9.04 的美工方面工作的“Deadline”已过，默认的壁纸将在之前上传中选取并不再接收新上传的壁纸。
