2009年国际天文年活动之一的“100小时国际天文网上直播”已经拉开，全世界80台天文望远镜参加此次活动。 从2日到5日，从夏威夷的北双子座望远镜开始，其它天文望远镜依次登场，其中包括哈勃太空望远镜、南极的中微子望远镜、上海天文台佘山射电望远镜、智利的甚大阵和拉斯坎帕纳斯天文台等，每台望远镜的直播时间大约为20分钟。 直播时间表（PDF），直播地址（镜像）
