Ars Technica报道，在旧金山召开的Linux合作峰会上，Intel的开源技术中心的负责人Imhad Sousou讨论了该公司的下一代基于Linux的开源移动平台Moblin。 Imhad称Moblin的目标是改进基于Atom处理器设备的Linux用户体验，其中一项就是减少启动时间。最新的Moblin 2 alpha测试显示，包括显示系统在内主要组件能在数秒内启动。Intel希望能在此基础上，最终实现2秒启动。这将能使Moblin成为嵌入式车载电脑和许多其它嵌入式应用的合适平台。
