最近在旧金山举行的Linux基金会峰会上，有许多人都被询问到首次使用Linux的时间，Linux基金会也用一段视频(Youtube)公布他们的答案：他们多数人使用Linux有十多年历史，首次使用竟然多是在高中期间。 对我而言，高中时候，学校里的电脑安装的是DOS或Windows 95，大学时候，电脑安装的都是Windows 98，Linux根本就是闻所未闻，直到后来离开大学才开始通过互联网了解到开源（以前只知道共享软件）和GNU/Linux，不知道有多少人的经历和我相同？
